Yeah... 10/10 take the nap

C1 please do. I always challenge my Staff about why they're online late, weekends, etc. if I hadn't given them something that I think could require extra work. Their response is usually "well you're still working, so..." or " i don't know"... if they're on track / ahead on their tasks, I tell them to put work away and focus on themselves. Some insist that they just want to put in the time and are more productive at those times... fine... but don't sacrifice WLB just because you have it in your head that it's an expectation. Once you set that expectation of always being on, it follows you through the firm and it's very difficult to shake it.
Tip: take that nap 😉
Just do whatever makes you happy. When you’re on your deathbed you’re not going to be thinking about the time you were inactive on teams
Ha ha coming from a McKinsey consultant who probably knows the grind more than anyone!!

Combination of breathing and stretching exercises helps me get through the midday slump without relying on more caffeine

Don't eat carbs
Definitely a 20min nap. I have been on projects where they 'monitor' your time & what not. I just fit it all in an hour and try to be avoid controversies.
Even if I don't drink caffeine, avoid big lunches, I still feel that slump. And a 20min timed nap helps a TON.
One of my project managers used to leave the clients office to nap in his car. Nap hard, work harder lol
