Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

Looking for a referral to a consulting firm lmk!
EY recruiting is such a mess. Applied and did a pre-recorded video interview, heard nothing for like 3 weeks. Then I get a random call saying they liked me and would I be available to attend an interview the following day. I say yes but never receive an email or additional details. Call back the number and it goes to voicemail. The following week I get a rejection email. Just so frustrating EY

How rude of the manager to think the audit room is his personal office. How about you stfo. Step the Ef Out! We’ve got an audit to complete here...
KPMG 1: I’m a staff. my senior, manager, and I were all discussing how a potential MW would affect our audit areas. The two staff that were not affected by this potential issue kept chatting and laughing and literally screaming at each other’s jokes. The manager paused the call and politely asked them to keep it down. After 5 minutes they started up again. The manager halted the call and just stared at them for a few seconds. It was obnoxious, and not a call he should have taken outside.
Staff doesn't know how to to act right? Please excuse my feigned shock and surprise.
Do you just assume that, regardless of where you are, everyone around you needs to be quiet because you’re on the phone?
If it’s important go get a room or take the call elsewhere like a normal person. Shouldn’t have to explain this to a manager.
So you’re a staff complaining on FB about people at your own level not listening to a manager...?
What
Details?
Lol, I feel like that should just be normal etiquette.
As a manager I have had to ask the partner to STFU a few times when he is having non-audit related conversations in the audit room and I’m trying to talk on the phone
@D1 lmao
SC1, in my particular case it is usually a conference call which multiple members of the team are joining in the partner is talking and carrying on in the background.
Why aren’t you inviting your staff to be on the phone call? Certainly they would be silent then.
I don’t follow. So 3 of you on the call were in the same room? If so - then yes these staff are ridiculous. If not in same room - I agree with dt one - take your freaking call elsewhere
More details: Yes the call pertained to three of the five members of the engagement team, so we had the call on speaker in the audit room.
Ok then yes - staff should cop on
