Partial WFH is awesome. Full WFH sucks.

Home was my safe place, reserved for my family. When I had days that annoyed me, going home allowed separation. Now there is no separation and I can’t stand it. I need those 1-3 days a week of client/office interaction and the ability to separate, not just close my computer.

Love it but would like 2 days a week at the office.
I was previously 100% remote in a role pre Covid. It was much better, you could take mini trips through the week to wherever you wanted. Now sucks because we are all mostly stuck at home....
Pro
I would really enjoy one day a week in the office (preferably Monday so I can start my week off with getting in the work mode)
Other than that, love wfh. Being able to not wear work clothes, run a small errand in the day, not have to commute, etc, it's great
Net positive. But Covid restrictions far outweigh the positive, so current QOL is worse than pre-Covid.
I like hybrid model where you work from home say 2-3 days, then go to the office. Straight wfh really is hard
Calculate traveling as a monetary benefit of $200 per week in flight and hotels points/cashback + food costs. Easily $13k+ lost.

I think this is largely ambiguous because answers may depend heavily on how much you had to travel beforehand, and experiences at clients sites. I primarily do DD’s so I was about 70% in office before COVID anyway. But I’ve always seemed to have especially bad situations when at client sites (20+ people in a tiny conference room with no windows, being stuck with people from other firms in said room which won’t shut up, etc).
For me, it’s better to rank choices between the following:
1 - 100% wfh
2- 2-3 days per week wfh, 2-3 days in office
3- 80% onsite at clients, 1 day per week in office
4- 100% in office
In that case, I’d say 2 wins by a huge margin, 1 and 4 are basically even, and 3 loses by a huge amount

Net positive.
60% on site with client, 1 to 2 Days a month in office, wfh remainder. This is our strategy model SM and up and it works very well
Net Positive. No need to be in the office.
Screw the directions. I love it. I dont ever want to go back into the office. Consulting will never be the same. Traveling is a thing of the past. These companies will charge the same rates but will pocket the travelings costs for bigger profits.
I can get to the gym now 2-3 days a week during lunch. I’m the best shape of my life!

Net positive, but the overall world sucks. I have no trouble keeping work and life separate
