Clark Hill Discussions
Anyone have insight into Clark Hill? Salaries?
New HR Manager here and I need to create a department budget. No idea where to even start, let alone end. This company is extremely unconventional with it's practices.. think startup that is not brand new.
Has anyone applies to remote HR jobs in other states and gotten the job? I’ve been looking in the Chicagoland area for months and haven’t found anything. It’s to the point where I’m not even getting interviews anymore. I’ve looked for on-site, remote and hybrid. I’m considering expanding my search to other states that have remote HR Jobs as an option.
In comms structure, what do you think of this?
Brand new client - 25% of new-client fees for 6 months. Plus a 3% trail commission after the client has been with us for 12 months
Referred client - (where you have helped in the process) - 10% of new client fees for 6 months
Upsold client - (where you have helped in the upselling) - 25% of upsold fees for 6 months
Never had a trail comms structure before…
How would you ask for a $50k raise?
I am currently making $50k and I have found through market research that my JD of a sales engineer/ consultant is $100k.
How can I leverage this to express I'm being underpaid and I want a raise? Any and all advice is appreciated. Thanks 👍 🙏
Just daydreaming here, but has anyone tried to be a full remote attorney doing the van life stuff?
My partner keeps making me look for plaintiffs answers to our discovery so she can prep for the depo (they lose everything in this office). It's time consuming. How do I bill for this
Every company wants good employees until the employees challenge you to become better management!
I get the rule of “bill everything”. But I worry that I don’t capture enough time. I use a timer program that is helpful and I know I’m working but can’t figure out what to input in the billing to reflect. What are some things you bill for that maybe some people tend forget to include? (Billable and nonbillable)
What are some tips for a brand new BigLaw associate who is starting their legal career remotely? Worried about how to get work, networking, etc. without any face time in the office.
Does your company offer an insurance payout to employees who opt out of your insurance plan and if so how much? We do, however we think it’s too low of an offering and would like to increase it. We want it to be logical from a financial standpoint.
I want to get my masters in HR, but I also want to get my phr.. is it better to get one over the other? Or should I do both. Are there any masters hr program someone can recommend?
How much do account executives typically make?
A month ago I received my annual review/ merit increase, which was a little higher than the 3% for market adjustment. I’m still underpaid and not happy. I accepted the review at the time because I needed time to digest it. I still haven’t had a 1:1 with her yet but plan to ask when we do. Is it too late to ask? Any tips for asking for a raise? She’s also giving me more responsibility, more work, having me take more ownership over things her and someone else used to. Im so nervous about asking
Does a senior counsel have the power to ask recruitment to hire you as an entry level associate or that simply up to partners?
Hi, Ben Analyst with 2.5 YOE. Anyone here graduate with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies? Has that held you back in your career and what degree or cert did you obtain when furthering your career? I am looking to grow in benefits and I've reviewed CEBs, PHR and was interested in obtaining my MA, in HRM? Feedback?
I’m having a hard time focusing because of the overturning of Roe v wade, I feel so heavy and have been fighting back tears. Is it warranted to request a mental health day for the rest of the day to kinda just sit with this?
Feeling like I’m getting underpaid. How much are talent sourcers making in NYC? For context I work for a management consulting company. Thanks!
Would you drive a car that costs $135,000? If so, would it mainly be to show your success to your clients?

For anyone who does Roth 401k, let’s say you max the annual contribution ($19,500). Within the Roth 401k, does the contribution itself become taxed ? I.e the contribution of $19,500 becomes ~$12,000 (example) Or, can you pay it off outside the retirement pool —> Where you still have 19,500 in the Roth IRA and let it grow?
I got offer from IBM with 7B band.

Our HR/recruiting department is working on what we're calling an "Attract" score. Essentially, we're wanting to find a way to measure success when it comes to time-to-fill, attrition (or lack thereof), candidate experience, etc. Is anyone using a particular "formula" to calculate this success overall, or are you just tracking it all individually?
Looking for advice for switching from very laid back non-profit to strict corporate world job. Very nervous since it’s such a drastic change and expectations will be much higher and way more strict
Question - if an employee damages other employees car at company property, can you fire them.
Uber or Lyft for rewards? Lyft is $5 credit after 5 rides, but I can’t figure out Uber’s rewards. I must use my firm’s standard-issue green Amex, but paid to retain points if that matters
