All layoffs are brutal, but it seems like Deloitte and PWC take it to a whole different level. People going in expecting a promo, but instead are being laid off. That is terrible.

Everyone laid off from PwC, Deloitte, ACN, and (possibly?) EY should just their own firm. We could create some place that doesn't have a shit culture and where people aren't walking on eggshel… more

Another point to keep in mind amidst PwC layoffs is we have ~60K global in advisory. Condolences to ya'll who got axed, I'd be just as infuriated. How large are your firms consulting practice?

PwC lay-off thread. Group-whole number of layoffs by level + percentage. Advisory FS Risk & Reg - 3 in Feb ( 1 manager, 1 Sa,1 ea) 8 now (2 managers, 6 Sa). Around 10-15% of staff.
