Hi All,
Looking to make the move from working in industry to big4 and was curious as to what level and pay I might be worth?
I have 10 years experience out of uni, as well as completed CPA and MBA. I have a experience in managing entire finance function of small/medium entities, but most notably solid corporate finance experience/strategy leading refinance exercises, debt raising, hedging/treasury strategy etc…Would be looking for something in deal advisory / M&A / CFO advisory etc….thanks Deloitte EY PwC @

If you think apart is the same as a part you probably need to get laid off
If you can't understand why a company will continue to hire during lay offs you probably need to be apart of the group getting laid off...
Layoffs are part of it. Happens every cycle. You foresee high demand in 1-2 yrs and hire staff to address but have no idea how long staff you hire will stick around.
Thanks, C1.
Got me on an autocorrect, toughness. My comment still stands
And image doesn't matter to consulting firms whose biggest asset are ppl and that get ppl by recruiting from schools. Oh wait...
C1 which firm are you from
Lots of naive perspective here. PwC1 knows his shit.
PwC1 is spot on
👍PwC1, tough but real life.
I'm with you OP, I don't get it either other than to maintain an image
Yeah PwC1 maybe you don't get it and should be laid off
But if your biggest asset is people maybe you should start treating them as such
Blame it on the autocorrect. You must not be in advisory
At the end of the day we are all cogs in a machine. If you do not fit, you will be let go and replaced by the new one. It's a cold process but that's how it is.
