Someone should warn students and experienced hires about risk advisory service lines AKA SOX. It just ain’t fair for them

Is the best way to learn provision for someone who only does compliance one of those big 4 guides? Do they get updated each year? Any other sources you recommend?

I’ve been on the bench with less than 10% utilization for 3wks now. I’m a first year and the past month has been slower with not many new projects coming in. I do see a few new projects come in every week but I’m not getting staffed on them. Should I be worried? Should I ask my PM if I should be worried? We’re in a pretty small group less than 20 people

Advice for studying for CISA? I’ve purchased the CRM, QAE, and Hemang Doshi’s book. So far I’m having trouble reading through the CRM because it’s so detailed that everything seems important and difficult to retain. I’m an incoming new hire so I think I should read the book even though I know people who have passed with only QAE (they were previous b4 interns)

It's my first day at a different big 4 than my tag and the only thing I have to do is an hour zoom call, then the next two days are 3 hr zoom calls. Is this normal? PwC had me doing 9 hrs of training the first day lol

I am only 4 months into being a surgical coordinator. I love the position itself however I am struggling to adapt into my new work environment. I joined pwc last month, and absolutely hating it here. Each weekend has been working, 12-15 hours work day is minimum expectation. And there's extreme hierarchy, where even after you spend 24 hours working on something, the director decides he wants something completely different and you delete and restart. (Note that you request them to review and give their pov earlier on, but they never take the time out)
