Hey everyone! I have a new employee who’s been absent since Nov 2nd (worked 2 days). They reached out to inform me of a family emergency but never communicated a return date. They also responded to their managers email saying they’re not in a place to take on this role now. But they also said that a family meme et will be needing assistance for 4-6 mo and they don’t want to hold back the business so they’re okay with whatever we decide. It’s been 10 days. Would you consider this job abandonment?

What's everyone else's policies when it comes to booking an appointment, it going stale and someone else booking that appointment? Do you guys still have ownership if it's in the process of getting sold or does the other person?

Hi there! Does anyone know of employment agencies that can help an individual find a job? I have 6+ & 7+ YOE in HR & L&D, but I’ve applied to hundreds of jobs over the last 6 months and can’t seem to get a single interview. I’m feeling a little defeated, and every time I google agencies I get responses saying they only work with companies. Alternatively, if there are any seasoned vets out there willing to look over my resume and/or help deconstruct with me, I’d very much appreciate it!

I’ve been interviewing with This company for over a month. Had my 3rd round a couple weeks ago and didn’t hear back until yesterday. They wanted to interview me today which was just another to see if I had an questions, mentioned what I’d be doing and I’d hear by end of day. Have yet to hear and again not sure.

I thought I found the perfect position in March but I was let go today. I was blindsided. Never a complaint, my reviews were excellent and I got along well with the owners. My only issue was the PEO not speaking with me and going directly to the owners with her agenda. I asked ownership to work with me and I would pull the PEO in, if necessary. Apparently, they have a longstanding friendship and he does not think of them as a vendor as a friend. She suggested a on-site PEO rep and out I go!

Anyone heard anything about Critical Mass? Cupertino office? Good? Horrible? Bueller?
