1st month of the new year complete. On a scale of 1-10, how intense/hard was the first month for you?

Work was about a 4. Nothing too crazy, pretty much just been business as usual. Home/personal was an 8 with kids home sick and a home office renovation.

8!

7. Not too bad, but I feel the intensity coming. And the conflicting expectations.

Honestly it was maybe a 7. I expected it to be a 10 because the first of the year is usually very chaotic and busy but it actually wasn't bad. I am beginning to wonder if that means that this month is going to be nuts but we will see.

I’m interested in pursuing cosmetic dermatology (possible Botox and laser treatment) for the first time. I’ve done a ton of research and the derm I’m most interested in going to charges a $150 consult fee but does NOT apply that cost to any treatments you get, whereas from my research it seems like derms in my city usually do apply the consult fee to the treatments. Would you pass on her due to that additional cost, or consider it worth it to see the derm you want to see?
