Hello, what is working in retail banking like at JPMorgan Chase ? Specially the branch manager role. I’m looking in the Columbus area. How is pay, culture, benefits, sales environment, meetings, etc. How easy is it to transition from retail banking to corporate. I hear the Polaris campus has great opportunities, I was thinking about getting my foot in the door through retail then transferring to corporate ?

Arent you making about 300k by now?
Are you shooting for EM/PL level?
Why are you coming back to consulting?
5 years exp and SBA is rough. A lot of associates are two years out of undergrad without MBA.
I got an offer for over 200k and I only have 2 years of exp out of college. So I thought 5 years would be 300k.
I dont know what else I can add. I am at McK and got offer from a PE for ops role. It is not much more than my current salary.
I think S& would be reasonable, currently interviewing with MBB.
Lol not making 300K. Both MBB told me I would likely come in SBA/SA. Not ideal but because I don’t have an MBA assuming that’s pretty standard? Then wait ~1 year and get promoted to AS/CO. Want back into consulting because I enjoy business strategy more than performance improvement.
Are you planning to get a MBA?
Thanks all for the feedback.
Hmm might be hard to get into S& from PE Ops. You’d be a perfect fit for DDV on the pwc side though. Might be able to get manager but at 140-150k.
DM me. DDV is not the right spot. S& started a team of private equity value capture consultants.

SA1 is correct if you're comparing to MBB. If you're super smart, from a target school and perform average on cases you probably make it. Probably 1/5 would make it at finals but probably 1/8 to 10 at MBB.
That being said OP should be able to get SA at S& easily. We spend a lot of time on the cost side (our biggest seller is our FFG platform), so your PEs ops expierence would come to play, we do sell pure strategy and also the focus on the cost side is strategic. So you can get to do both. My issue with the PEVC group is that it's basically same job as PE ops with less money (but this is what I hear from friends in that group)
Fair point on PEVC, except there’s more variety to the work and pay is similar. PE ops pay isn’t very good.
