Any one familiar with comp for a Portfolio Associate roll at PIMCO on their mortgage backed securities team? I’m looking at an offer and want make sure I’m in line with the average comp for the company and industry. Only 4 months of experience and offer is 98k w/ 10-20% bonus plus 15k relo/ sign on. Looking at Glassdoor, bonuses seem higher than quoted by the hiring manager. (No written offer yet they say they’re still working on it)

Dope! I’m kind of at the earlier stages of your path where salary increases were low and slow. Would appreciate any tips you have from your experience moving internally and moving to a new company
Figure out which roles are revenue generating. Those usually pay the most. Think about what the next position would be in your role. Are you gaining those skills at your current role to progress you to the next level? The people that were in your role 2-5 years, where are they now? If they left the company, where did they go and what role did they take? As for moving internally, talk to everyone - even those in a different group or department. Having those connections is helpful.
