3 YOE S1 in Big4 FSO audit here (ACCA) specifically Public PE asset managers. On a seesaw of what exit opportunities I should explore, I don't know if I'm being honest with myself when i say i like PE and exit sound like Fund/Corp Accounting in FS, although the money is good. I'd like to transition into something in Tech/SaaS, maybe FP&A, I don't enjoy accounting. I'd like work life balance and growth.

Damn I was thinking of doing B4 Asset/Wealth management because I read that PE/VC/HF salaries were really good in industry as fund assistant controller/manager. Like $150-$200K+ nice bonuses. I’m on the same boat trying to break into tech/saas but no exp in auditing those companies. Good luck to you!

Yes, I'm based in India but I agree, the pay rise is consistent here too in FS, my only problem is if it niches myself in this realm, and the part of the country I'm based in, tech and startups thrive more than finance. I'm trying to be more long term as opposed to the money. Besides, i don't think I'd enjoy fund accounting😅 Thank you so much and Good luck!!

F, although it seems like wlb and growth don’t go hand and hand

If you have any interest in trying out a middle market firm we should chat.

I'd love to, I'm currently based in India though.

My dilemma… I am an injury adjuster at a carrier experiencing high inventory that’s barely manageable. A competitor offered a higher salary and manageable workload. BUT, I would like to get into underwriting. I applied for UW position w/ a different carrier and they’ve made an offer. It’s lower than my current salary and significantly lower than what I’d make by taking the first offer. Do I take the high salary and stay in claims or go for UW in hopes it will be best in long run?

Hi all
I started out as a graphic designer. Worked for about 4yrs in different roles. Then i started a digital design role for 2 yrs and then made my transition into ux. i have been in a ux role for 5 years. But i want to steer my career towards something more creative. Like in 5-10 years I wouldn’t want to be a specialist or a ux director. I d like to be an art director or creative director. I love branding & marketing but also product. Would love something that allows me to do both?
