I accepted an offer from Amazon in the Sustainability/renewable team in Seattle. I was curious in general how flexible AWS is when it comes to transferring you to other places (Europe/India/Middle East) ? My team is not there outside the US though. But would I be able to move teams across easily and are internal transfers doable ?

Has anyone felt bullied or ganged up on by your staff? I am currently in a situation where I have felt alone on an island with no support from my leadership team and staff. Then my frustrations took over and staff went to HR and shared how “mean” I am. I need ideas on how to handle this moving forward. As you get more experienced as an associate, do your billables get easier to hit? Is there an expectation that certain motions take 2 hours and as you get better you get them done in 1.5 but still record as 2? This seems like a bad thing to do but it happens the opposite way for new associates.

I have been practicing family law for 7 years and made partner at my firm. But with Covid and some big (happy) life moments this past year I keep wondering if the stress is worth it and can feel myself burning out. Has anyone made a successful transition entirely out of family law? Is there anyway to go in house after practicing family law?
