Whenever i have a big deadline, my body goes into a panic mode where my energy immediately goes to figuring out how I’ll get something done well and on time. Outwardly, I don’t seem stressed so no one notices but actually I usually feel like I have a cold: fatigue, headache, sore throat, sinus infection. When a task is done, i stop feeling like crap. Hi Folks, how much time does Accenture take to revise the offer letter?

I’m confused by all these posts about Product Owners. I’ve worked at 3 Bay Area-based tech companies over 6 years and never heard of a Product Owner. As a product manager, i work with my engineering and design partners to figure out what to build and then build it. What role would a product owner play in all this? My honest assumption is that this role was invented by companies that want to pretend to be doing agile but aren’t really, but I’m open to being proven wrong.

As a first time PM at a company with no PM structure, I’m finding it difficult to learn good practices and bring myself to “the next level”. Has anyone here had a similar self taught start that made the break through to become a solid senior PM? Anything will help, books, etc.

Forgive the basic question but can you contract around state statutes? For ex, customer wants to insert state contractor payment statutes and have that state law govern. I’m assuming the way around this is to have another more preferable state as choice of law?

NFW- I just had a good laugh. Earlier today I was on a video conference call reviewing a Private Label Agreement template with a larger company who wishes to brand label products we develop and manufacture. I’m in-house at a small company (60 people), started right out of law school about 5 years ago. We had a legal team of 5 then. Everyone has left and we just hired a new GC. I went from $70k to $100k a little over a year ago. I am expecting an offer from a firm doing business law work but think this might be an opportunity to go to my current employer and ask for a significant raise, with new offer in hand. Any thoughts or advice going into this?

Any in-house antitrust counsel willing to offer up some advice? I just started in a firm's well-regarded antitrust group. What do I do over the next few years to make myself most marketable to move in-house? And when is that move actually feasible/ideal for antitrust specialists?

Seems like I can pull work from the whole discipline (merger clearance, civil lit, criminal) — should I spread myself across all of it to maximize my skillset/marketability?

What’s a fair expectation for my first raise? Publicly traded co with ~2500 employees. I’ve been doing litigation with the company for almost 3 yrs and have only had a 2% cost of living raise so far. Graduated in 2014. Base comp is $127.5k in the Philly area. I see salaries all over the place in this site and it’s hard to tell whether mine is competitive.
