A friendly reminder that this is the Consulting page for Consulting topics. Keep your political opinions to yourself.

Agreed 💯 that was my very 1st thought the moment I read this comment. Keep your personal political views to yourself.

Good. The US’s lack of official facilities suitable for hosting heads of state is an embarrassment and everyone that pretends otherwise is delusional.

They get almost all of their money from government contracts. You should sell all your big tech stocks, don’t use the internet and resign from your job, because you must be using Microsoft products.

Thank you Booz Allen! Keeps tax payers front footing the bill and the future embarrassment if dignitaries using portapotties and sitting in tents on the White House lawn

Except that the Orange Diaper Don wants 1B for security in public funds for this ballroom... and 10B to beautify Washington DC ... after 1.536T cuts to Healthcare... but yeah you're a perfect representation of the demographic.

A friendly reminder that most people employed by unethical companies have zero control over what shareholders and C-suite executives do. And looking at the state of the economy, most employees are not working such jobs to enrich themselves but to simply have a roof over their heads, pay off their loans and get their kids into decent schools. In this market, there’s very few opportunities for job switchers, so most people hold on to what they have regardless of their employer’s optics.

If you feel strongly about politics, then go devote your life to it and change something, rather than anonymously shame workers for showing up at a job they probably don’t enjoy just to provide for their families.

Good comment, realistic and true with no more bias than being human and thoughtful.

So?

So? And most companies donated to the left wing extortion fraud scheme that was BLM. Companies donated because of political violence happening and all they did way buy large mansions with the money.

Lets definitely take 1.776B taxpayers money to pay insurrectionists and Trump sycophants after pardons for attacking and killing police... excellent litmus on IQs in this pool of supposedly educated and credible people.

Who cares? They also donated to your paycheck and bonus. Be grateful they are actively engaged to get more contracts so you can continue to get a paycheck

The older I get and the more I think about raising my own children, I keep thinking how can parents frame religious duties like fasting as something to look forward to. I think volunteering as a family can help install the value of giving back and zakaat. How can one make Ramadan and Eid something to look forward to when holidays like Christmas seem to be purely joyous occasion that one doesn’t have to put in work for like fasting for Ramadan?

As an experienced, SHRM certified HRBP , I would just like some feedback on your opinion of the differences in the roles between an HRBP an HR Manager besides the obvious that the manager should have direct reports. I am an HRBP and work in step with 3 HRM’s. They all 3 just got out of cycle raises of between 5-20% 😳 and I received nothing. I am quite aware of our HR code that salary is confidential but I was told about this. Would you be looking for other employment? Or stay?
