@A2 none taken. I'm loving and hating it at the same time. Building a brand new functional organization from scratch in a commercial behemoth isn't what I thought I'd signed up for, but here we are, and I'm enjoying it.

It's awesome because it's like slowly creating a sculpture out of an old rock despite the challenging hurdles. Seeing the bigger picture and being a part of it matters.

Why is managing men so impossible? I’m lucky that most of the teams I lead are all smart, creative and dedicated women. Just started on an account with all men, and these guys bring LITERALLY nothing to the table - never a new idea, or offer to step in and support - heck I’m even having to remind them to do the bare minimum of answering client emails. Why are men?

I will be going into a second interview for a project coordinator position at a new manufacturing company. I have gotten information regarding the number/types of projects I will be handling. I expect the compensation question will come up. The PC job posting listed an $82-90k salary range. If I say $85-95k, how will this be perceived? I feel somewhere between $90-95k would align with my experience. However, I do realize that this is a PC and not a PM position.

The higher up I get at PwC the more I see wayyyyy too many cooks in the kitchen. Everyone is trying to add value lol it’s laughable. There’s a few partners a few directors a few managers maybe one senior manager who is low on utilization and is being called the “project manager” lol anyone else see the same?

I totally messed up. I had enough for down payment (HYSA), and pumped everything aside from that lump into stocks before the crash. Now houses went WAY up and I have not enough for down payment anymore. Can’t sell stocks at a loss. So I have just been saving my checks as fast as possible but I’m disheartened that’s houses seem to just keep going up. My raise can’t keep up at all.

Does anyone know of any fully remote jobs? I’ve been applying everywhere and I just keep getting rejected. I’ve had 3 interviews so far but got rejected from those too. I’m looking for HR/payroll or accounting- since I have experience in all 3. Anyone willingly to refer me?

Without a perfect rest of your profile (4.0/800/story that brings people to tears/ well-written recs from top partners, etc), does being at Deloitte mean an automatic rejection for H/S? Is it necessary to move to MBB/FAANG/a more well regarded firm?

Has anyone found it difficult transitioning out of consulting and to industry? Slowing down and learning at a slower pace has been rather difficult. I felt I became conditioned to become SME in anything and everything super fast in consulting. Now that it’s taking so much time to get up to speed in an industry role, I feel myself continuously questioning if I’m doing what I need to.
