A group of us were laid off on Feb 29th, due to "restructuring." While I have had to go through job searching in the past, it has been a while, and at least then I had more experience in that particular field [optometric assistant). However, I worked from 2018 to 2021 toward a career change and finally was able to find a role as an entry-level QA Analyst. Now I have to try to find another role when I am older (51) with only 3 years of experience. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

6 months pregnant and just laid off. And 40% of my severance was just taken in taxes .. I just spoke with paid family leave and I no longer qualify even though I had been paying into the program (thanks NY).. I already applied for unemployment but doctors are telling me I’ve got 10-14 weeks left in this pregnancy.. so stressed having twins and being unemployed, no maternity leave, no paychecks coming in, and I’ve been applying but not a single interview.. just ugh. 😭
