I'm currently reviewing slated final deliverables and the media hasn't been finalized.
i haven’t had a media plan before the production was basically over in years lol. its wild to have to make the thing and not even know where its going, but seems like its the new normal
I remember when the media plan was so locked it was frustrating because it meant creatives had to work inside those boxes. Now it’s just “I dunno come up with cool ideas and we’ll just make it work later”
Resources/support . Going down the line of approvals. I have experienced.
Drives me nuts to get a late media plan that requires creative formats or units we didn’t build, with hard media closes looming. Let the chaos and finger-pointing ensue.
Following this. We’ve been having a terrible time with media for a couple years now. No a media plan we receive literally ever, is ever correct, or final, or accurate. 🥲
That seems to happen when either agency nor media company want to take responsibility for the work.
Because the agency world is filled with people in charge who are spineless , no talent idiots who never push back equally clueless clients who are wildly unrealistic and out of touch with reality …
