Facebook’s Product Operations team is heavily hiring Product Specialists, Product Development Specialists, Product Reliability Specialists and Product Operations Managers. If you’re interested in some of these roles, I would be more than happy to refer you (to up to 3 of them) 🙂 I’ve had a great experience working in Product Operations. The org really values people with consulting backgrounds. DM me with your background and email and I’d be happy to connect with you there.

OU switches are easy. Just notify the current OU lead and initiate the process through HR.
Thanks A1 and M1. I'm also in the process of switching from TC to MC (have an MD sponsor and all). Would it be advisable to switch OUs after I switch alignment?
Moving you to MC could probably pull you from the OU as well depending on which it is. You might have to make both of those jumps at once. It's easier.
Talk to a manager and then talk to HR, make sure they have a need. I've seen ppl do it with MD support.
Might be hard in Houston as that's a huge resource place.
M1 - the current OU lead, do you mean at the national level? Or the geographical OU leads? (I'm in the same position as OP, 2.5 years in at SA wanting to switch OU's). Also, by talk to HR, do you mean through PeopleLink?
OP - is your MD sponsor in resources or elsewhere?
My MD sponsor to move into MC is in resources. I still have to network within healthcare
If you can meet the right people, I'd say switch all at once, but given the timeframe for doing so, you probably need to stick with resources this next year while you build your network
My current resources project doesn't end until December anyways, around the time I'm expecting a promo and targeting the switch to MC. So would it make sense to network in healthcare until then, then attempt to switch OUs in the beginning of 2017?
