Like "Oh my God, you're Tom Hanks! I love so many of your movies and I think you are great and so funny in interviews. How are you feeling? I heard you had covid?"

Guy who very very vaguely resembles Tom Hanks insists he isn't. Then I keep insisting he is.

This is a fun way to pass time during layovers.

I have given interview in LTI on October 8 and I have cleared all rounds L1 L2 and HR . My interview with Microsoft for SE2 was scheduled and cancelled a day before. Neither I received any email regarding cancellation nor the recruiter informed me. Two days later I got an email saying Microsoft is freezing hiring for certain departments and the recruiter is ghosting me. Will I even get a chance to interview atleast?

I just accepted an offer in writing. The new job will start the background check next which I’ve been told it may take a while to complete. My start date at the new job isn’t until 2023 so there is some time for me to turn in my notice. I don’t anticipate any hiccups in the background check but is it wise to wait until the background check is complete before turning in my notice?
