Hello All, I have one question. I was a fresher and joined one organization as external employee with third party payroll. I worked as external payroll for 1 year then I became permanent employee of organization was working. When i was a fresher my salary was below tax slab so my external exployer did not generate any form 16 for me. When tried to switch my new organization wants me to submit form 16 as BGC process. Will my offer get reverted?Cognizant Tata Consultancy HCL Technologies Accenture

My personal thoughts, irrespective of career path since I'm just a 2nd year analyst, is that you're underpaid for YOE & degree
Fair enough, doing the math I can see how they'd be at $100k if they started at $75k and the company gave only consistent 3-4% raises. Which in turn illustrates why you should move companies to gain more pay
What’s SMU? Am I correct in reading that you’re graduating this month/already graduated from your MBA?
I would say if you haven’t networked/gotten an intern during/have an opp lined up - getting an MBA-Associate IB job will be very difficult, especially in this climate.
With respect to IB jobs, you aren’t landing a BB/EB and are more likely to find a MMIB/boutique/B4 that’ll hire you, if any.
You are more likely to be able to lateral to another Corp dev gig within your current field after you’re manager, then try for industry-specific PE/family office.
Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Yes just graduated. You’re correct about MM/Boutique.
Didn’t pursue internship (MBA professional program so continued to work) but fair points. Wanted to understand if it’s even worth it at the point in my career to go down that path. Reason: I had a recent opps in corp dev lost in the final round bc lack of IB experience so that got me thinking. I appreciate the insight.
Definitely underpaid imo especially as MBA grad. Dallas has a lot of smaller MM/Boutique investment banks with a lot of SMU alums. The lack of internship will hurt, but if you are in Corp Dev like you say that experience can be leveraged. Especially cause you would have seen what a company has to deal with post making a sale or acquisition and can speak to that as opposed to a lot of IB guys that never understand the true intrinsics of a company. Outside that, networking is how you get into the boutiques
Your only question is "Thoughts?"
Thoughts on what? If you can't come up with a simple request, what makes you think you can cut it with the big boys? Lmaooo
