I am frustrated with the current work as i didnt find anything productive to learn.Continued in com KPMG @

Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.
I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.
Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.
Should I stay or should I go?

I would agree. It will be fine.
You are going to impact your career if you leave Bain, full stop.
It’s not just a an image and reputation issue, it sets you up to not to build the core of what it takes to get through rough spots
2 years at Bain will at this point dramatically change your career trajectory.
Come to Deloitte Digital we’re much more chill. Happy to refer you.
Can you elaborate on why do you have a hard time at Bain? Also, at what geography are you?
Agree! It’s going to take awhile to find the right role (especially in this environment). In the meantime, can you try to move to a chiller internal role to stop the bleeding?
What's your plan for leaving consulting and what roles are u planning to work further
Choose life .. you’re right to doubt, think about career decisions and pivot .. life is so hard .. nothing can prepare you for the horrors of ‘what’s next’
Being grounded and happy with your life choices usurps ‘how will my career look to people’
I have a friend who is fighting with stage 4 cancer and another friend i lost due to covid. It’s really helped me see life for what it is #choices
Best of luck!
@OP, the other side is much better. Any additional time spent at a place where you're burnt out at is just hurting yourself. Why wait? Unless you're so dead set on S&O exits only...

You lasted 4 yrs at EYP but only ~0.6 yrs at Bain? Damn! EYP must be easy!!!!!
It’s your life, call the shots and don’t only think resume. Your life is still ahead of you even without consulting! Be courageous!
Does Bain get transition benefits if you stay a year?
This is a pretty good benefit if you can stick it out a year

Bcg, are you talking about the OUT at up or Out?
I’d view leaving Bain after 7 months worse than if you had just exited big 4 directly
Depends where you wanna go, but if go into industry it’s pretty easy to say you just feel consulting isn’t for you and doesn’t bring you joy
I never worked at MBB but I can tell you for sure- mental health takes precedence over the big brand names. Do what feels right for you. You won’t regret the decision that you made keeping your long term future at the core.
Is it because Bain is much tough than EYP?

Not really. I am just done with consulting.

Come work at Adobe!
I am sorry to hear that. I don't yet have experience working for a consulting firm but I was wondering if you have considered transferring into a non consulting role at Bain, and if it is possible? It sounds like you could benefit from doing something a little different..
