After 4 years of saving money, paying off student loans, reading books and listening to podcast I am finally ready to buy my first house hack and have been approved for up to $750,00. However, I am a little dishearten as everything is SOO expensive, especially for me living in San Diego, CA. Should I wait for the market to cool down? Should I move somewhere with less expensive housing? Willing to to whatever it takes to eventually become financially free.

The barrier to entry is low, not even sure if graduating high school is needed. My old agent even said she did it bc she can make a lot money and not work that much. She drove a new Mercedes and sent her kids to private school, husband was also an agent.

Would you say Austin’s real estate market will go through a correction in 2022? I am considering there in a few months (wife and 3 kids) from a normal-priced city. While we can afford a house there, I am scared of getting into an extremely risky investment seeing such fast growing prices in 2021.
