After getting laid off at a global agency, I looked through my severance agreement and signed, only to get paid about half that amount. I expected taxes and fees to be extracted from the sum total, but half seems like a lot.

Is this typical? This is my first time being laid off with severance. I’m realizing maybe I should have consulted legal assistance with it before signing.

I’m 30 and my spouse and I want to save a million dollars in 15 years by age 45. I figured 1,000,000/15=66,666/yr need to save. To get to 66,666/yr, need to contribute:
-401k at 19500k x 2
-Roth IRA at 6000 x 2
-remaining $7833 x 2 in a brokerage account

Does this look good? Am I missing something? With discipline 2 people can save 1 million in 15 years?

What’s something a guy has said in a meeting you could never pull off as a woman? I’ll go. One time a guy creative was presenting his work and said “yeah this was just me being lazy and not wanting to do any work” and he literally suggested we do the same ads as last year, with a different celebrity plugged in.
