Pros and cons of EB. You get paid more, but get worked harder. Basically like you would expect. How were the numbers today?
Generalization from many friends who work at EB vs. BB. No protected weekends, not as much focus on work/life balance, etc
You chose to work at MS, which has consistently been below street on comp for 5+ years and that has never been a secret...what did you expect?
It’s a group by group thing, but realistically we are a lot like other places: there are haves and have-nots. A handful of people get killed and resent the ones who don’t, and the ones who don’t get killed resent poor work flow and lower bonus. As always, though, top performers are well compensated. Disagree on VP pay - think variability is greater as you move up the chain (source: just promoted to D)

^ how are things at baml? And BBS nowadays are that much more focused on work life? Thinking about switching over. VP pay starts to even out anyway
I lateraled from a B.B. and my bonus nearly doubled ($5k more and it would’ve been exactly 2x) (Same bucket at both banks for reference)
At the associate and analyst level EB pay is better lights out (I’m at a top paying EB and can give numbers). BAML, had assumed VP pay between EB and B.B. started evening out. How big of a delta are we talking here for top to mid bucket VP pay? Where I’m at for example VP1 pay is $600k
