Job-Hunting reach-out to VC from previous fundraising effort for own startup
I have e-mail archive from 1y ago of my reach-out to 65 VCs in London: we had video calls, they might remember me still, who knows.
I want to send a reply/forward message to the same e-mail thread from abc@gmail.com, saying that I am looking for roles within their VC firm. Is that a good idea?
Or shall I just start new email thread and mention how I know them?

How long have you been there?
I’d give it at least a year. And then maybe try a different project? While it’s easy to put a company on a pedestal, i think you also have to give it a fair shake and acknowledge that not everything will always be perfect. If you’re not liking the culture after 2 years then look elsewhere.
I’m in a similar situation, but still only 2 months in. My suggestion would be to talk to your manager/coach and see if there’s ways to adjust your work or projects to be more aligned. If not, and you’ve given it a fair shot, I would start looking. 6-9 months is ample time to give a new role a shot, and it’s easily explainable that this wasn’t what you had originally signed up for.
That’s the problem. It is exactly what I signed up for. I thought I would like it but it turns out that I don’t. Now idk where to go/to stay or not because I thought that this was going to be the right place for me.
You might have been more focused on the business/firm/company than the actual role. I would make a list of the types of things you enjoy doing, the types of things/work you don’t enjoy, what you’re curious learning more about, what skills you have and go from there. Really anchor on that and then find roles that fit those skills and interests.
Go big. Reassess where you want to invest your life energy. Someone like you just resigned, volunteered to work on an archeological dig in Ireland for the summer, and now plans to get a grad degree in anthropology.
