Hello Mastercard employees. I have been trying to break into MC for long now.
I have 2 yrs workex post MBA. I have experience in data analysis and consulting. But I don't want to get into consulting anymore. I am looking for analytics roles. Anyone here would be able to DM and guide me on the available options at Mastercard?

Kids, if you need a definition of “out of touch”, EY’s leader is here to help.

Of course the younger generation wants to be in. Imagine going from a 4 year college where you party with 500 people every day to a 500sq ft nyc apartment where you make slides 8-11.
Our industry is fun because of the perks. Wfh is not a perk to an analyst
Maybe speak for yourself 😅
Said no youngster ever 🙄
I'm in bubble. That make it clearer for you weenie.
To him, younger gen might be folks in 50s
I mean, limited sample size but all the Staff 1s in my practice enjoy being in the office a couple times a week. What they want is the option & flexibility
The majority don’t (myself included) but I do know some newer workers who go into the office almost always since they’re fresh out of college and live in a tiny apartment with roommates in an expensive area so just want to get out of their otherwise depressing living space.
This exactly. I even know mid-senior level coworkers that go in more than required just to get out of house.
If I can expense the lunch and uber then yes.
Is it unlimited? It's unlimited at EY till the end of June.
I mean I could see why most early 20somethings would want to be in the office and amongst peers. Company paid happy hours were fun when I was younger. By late 20s most probably want to be at home
yall this is why I left EY
This country wasn’t built by people in pajamas stuck in bedrooms.
Slaves didn’t build this country. They contributed.
The staff 1s outnumber everybody else in person in the office and the feedback I’ve gotten from staff in general is to be in the office more. Maybe EY is literally just listening to their people?
Rising Star
Even if they do, they’re going into the office *now companies are trying to induce people to come back.*
Let them go back to how it was pre-covid when they weren’t giving free meals and happy hours and it takes 1.5 hours each way.
I think MC1 means is the extra 2 hours a day it takes to get to the office ends up costing another $40 for the the nanny @ $20 per hour.
Have to agree that this is a generally truthful statement. Obviously not true for everyone but I have been craving working in person since I started. It has been a truly depressing start to my career to be totally WFH
I actually do
Great, so gen z wants to be paid less and in the office. You all are the worst
I did stop by the office the other day for 10 minutes… to grab lunch with a friend then take a bottle of Honest Tea from the kitchen.
Coke is discontinuing Honest Tea. RIP 😢
This is definitely true. We have designated team days in the office and they love it. And some of them come in outside of those days voluntarily.
I have also found that some of those who were not so enthusiastic about it initially, changed their tune after spending time with the team.
To be clear though - we’re talking about coming in like 1-3 times a week max, not everyday
I’m in East Consulting. It’s not a national practice. And yes, we do make an effort to staff according to where the team and client are located. Probably not possible for all teams/clients but I guess we’re lucky enough to have this set up. It seems to be having a positive influence on the engagement of our junior team members, and our managers and SMs recognize the benefit of this in the effort and quality of the work products.
I do. And I am in the office or client site 3 or 4 days a week
Love being in the office ~3 times/week but that’s because we do lunches/happy hours. Definitely don’t want to go back to 5 days/week.
More annoying that my managers/senior managers aren’t in the office because you don’t get to really know who you’re working with
That is accurate based on every new hire or Analyst I’ve talked to. They want to meet and network with people and also experience travel.
I did as well when I first joined. Had a blast flying around the country, making friends with people around my age and going out after work, getting to meet MDs at team events, so on and so forth.
Established employees don’t think about how much tougher it would be to socialize and build a network with all virtual. I would have hated it too.
