The AI tools will not replace us directly but we’ll need fewer people doing the same work using AI. For reference, I’m a corporate mid level at biglaw and my usage of junior associates has gone down by about half in the last year alone. Things I used to do as a jr just a few years ago are automated to hell now. Same will happen to mid levels and up in a few years. So my suggestion will be to not spend your time helping AI but spend as much time as possible learning how to use AI in your own practice.

Technology has always made certain niche roles obsolete. In the 80s, you could be a secretary whose entire job was to type out dictations.
We don’t have those types of role anymore, but we still have secretaries.
I wouldn’t.
