I would like to hit fire between 40-50. Currently 27, 185k total comp (125 for me and 60 for partner). Like my job don’t hate it don’t love it. Does an MBA make sense? I’m guessing it could take me to 170ish with that schools I’m looking at but wondering if the 40-50 retirement range makes an mba not make sense since I’d only have 10-20 years to save vs 12-22.

Hey fishes, completed 3 tech rounds at Bosch.
Last tech + managerial round was on 10th Nov. Got HR call on 17th Nov. Told my expected package and she didn't seem to have any issue. On 22nd Nov, got a call from the consultant at taggd who has been arranging all my interviews. Told my expected CTC and she seemed a bit surprised but didn't negotiate and asked if I have any other offers? I asked when can I expected the OL, she said within a week but didn't take any documents. Can I expect the OL?

So I chose an offer for Deloitte India over Infosys as a Node.js developer. Joining next week. But most of the time when people praise Deloitte they mean USI so I have been of two minds and wondering if I made the right decision.
Also is travel needed for Consultant designation?
In the managerial round the guy told me only need to go to office to pickup the laptop and after that it's wfh.

Got hired on part time for equity to do corporate strategy at a startup and that funding should hit in the Fall. Now it sounds like funding isn’t likely until we get a better following and I’ve been asked to do one reel and one blog a week (for minimal equity only) with all of my own content (photos, videos etc)

My friend’s ex is trying to win her back and she hates being single and like I ~should~ discourage this, but on a selfish level I want to be able to go out on his boat again this summer. I started a new job a month ago and that just so happened to be when my birth control decided to screw with my emotions. I can barely hold it together already and I have the added stress of a new job and it being busy season. I don’t know what to do. I cry multiple times daily. I don’t know how to keep going.

When my parents call I don’t answer and call back 4 hours later. I tell them I’m busy but I’m just hanging out here in FB, playing ps5 or online shopping.

I grew up very poor. I get extreme anxiety and shame when I spend money above $20. Deep down I feel like I should scrounge and save every penny. I use bath towels that are 10 years old and threadbare cause I can't bring myself to buy a "luxury item" despite making oodles of money and have a ton saved and invested.

Anyone else get over this?

Just found out that my favorite aunt, who claimed I was her “favorite” niece, chose to leave all her valuables to her other two nieces who never visited or called her once in the last ten years. My aunt passed away suffering from cancer last year and didn’t have her own kids. I was there by her side throughout her battle. I still wish I had done more, made her life easier. I probably sound petty, but a part of me is forcing me to re-evaluate every interaction I ever had with her.

Just watched Humankind on Netflix. Its about editing genes, CRISPR CAS9 and so on. The thought was posed "imaging having the body of a 25 year old with the experience of a 130 year old." This thought is so seductive to me that I would be a test subject.
