It’s a little more nuanced than that. Most Indians came to this country for better opportunity and to become rich so when Dems say we want a blend of capitalism and socialism and tax the rich, it’s always a cause for concern. Then there is this whole discrimination thing - If there was systemic racism then white folks would have not let Indians, Chinese, Japanese do well. So they wonder if this is all a scam for votes ..full disclosure, I am an independent who will likely vote for Trump because as far as I am concerned, here is Biden’s campaign message in a nutshell

Your first statement itself “neutral to American politics” is like an oxymoron. You go on to state your displeasure that people are supporting Trump. This is not being neutral. For the US, there is no alternative to Trump. US will end up being a stooge of China under Biden. Biden has a tremendous following not because people like him. People are supporting him out of hatred towards Trump. Next few weeks will decide fate. It ain’t all over till the fat lady sings (no pun intended).

OP, they would have no choice. I don’t think anyone can explain to another person the stress Trump has caused people on visas. You wouldn’t understand if you aren’t currently affected by it.
I am shocked at the support the low life in White house is getting on this thread from educated people. How can a racist, xenophobic, narcissistic, and mentally unstable persons get so much support? He is openly supporting white supremacists and someday these whacko supremacists will come and kill brown people en mass in their home or places of worships like they did in a gurdwara in Milwaukee few years ago. Again shocked to see so much support for a guy who openly supports white supremacy.
Because the alternative is even worse. Glad Trump was able to pack the supreme court today otherwise the so called liberals would throw the country into gutter.
@KPMG1 - Are you summarizing what South Asians think about systemic racism or are you expressing your own view? Just because systemic racism doesn’t exist for every non-white race doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.
What do you say to your AA co workers or leaders who (obviously) have worked hard, done well and are wealthy...but yet feel systematic racism exists and fully expect a “righting of the wrongs” per se. I just feel like sometimes we are hypocritical in not acknowledging the very successful AAs truly believe this is a real thing.
I do find it ironical that Indians who do become citizens want to vote Republican but that's their wish... but there is a difference between voting Trump and voting Republican in general... Trump is a bigoted racist with no values who'd happily throw Indian immigrants under the bus for a populist regime.... as far as people's comments here on democrats taking money and giving them to poor people including racial minorities... of course why would I expect anything different from insensitive Indians. Indians would do anything for just self and not society, and that's purely born out of a struggle for survival, a selfishness, stemming from a woefully overpopulated country...

Engineer - I arrived in NJ in 1997. Got my GC in 2012. It wasn’t easy back then either. What do YOU think Dems will do specifically for legal immigrants that Reps have not. Keep in mind that it is a need of the businesses in this country. Who do you think will not entertain this need?

The reason the GC line is longer now is because there are more applicants than in 2000s. Nothing more nothing less. Don’t blame R or D for it. Rules are the same.

OP, what's wrong with that? Would you not do the same if you were on the other side of the fence and are looking at lower taxes? I'm on a visa but I can see why they're doing it. We do worse in India by supporting politicians based on religion and caste.
