Am getting progressively burnt out and thinking of moving into an internal consulting role with FIs.. I have interviews with UBS and Allianz consulting lined up. Any thoughts on whether it is a good move? How’s does the work life balance and compensation fare comparatively to Big 4 consulting?

Any ideas on how to negotiate a delayed start date? I really want it to be Jan. My mental health needs some time off and this company breezed through interviews to offer in 1 week when I was expecting it to take at least a month. I really need some time to recover from burnout.

I’ve been with my current company for a little over 5 years now and since the start of the pandemic have been WFH. I absolutely love WFH and have always wanted a position in which I could WFH. There is talk of bringing everyone back to the office full time and that’s not what I would like to happen. I’ve been searching for a new position in which it would be a remote role. Specifically, I have team members in Jersey City that are a quick subway ride from NY locations, but are hours away from their assigned NJ office by public transit.
