Across my career I have realised that everyone is too busy about caring about themselves/their career, so we should do what’s best of us. Everyone deep down know that people look around for new roles, so not really a shocker/negative to them even if they come to know

It depends if they have a friend or close network connection at that firm. But generally don’t overthink it.
Who cares who you are interviewing with? If the partners were interviewing, guess where they would likely be going? It’s not that serious.
I do wonder if what you’re describing flirts ever so lightly with a certain… solipsistic tendency. Perfectly understandable in moderation, of course, but perhaps deserving of a touch more reflection.

Could it result in them figuring it out? Yes. Should you care? No. If they find out and think you’re good and don’t want to lose you, they’ll look for ways to keep you happy to stay. If they find out and don’t think you’re that good, you may go to the top of the list for the next round of layoffs but do you really want to stay where that is the perception and upward mobility may be limited anyway? In our industry, I assume anyone may be looking elsewhere at all times.
