American just removed one of the best features of their program. No more upgrades based on fixed point costs and no waitlisting for mileage upgrades. Upgrade costs now are just ~100x the cash upgrade cost. I just flew JFK-LAX and upgraded for 15,000 miles and $75. I’ve seen the cash price of that upgrade range from $275-$1,200. So under the new program, that upgrade will cost 27,500-120,000 points. That’s a huge downgrade in point value.

What credit cards does everyone use to maximize rewards points? What bank accounts to maximize sign up bonuses?

Is this legal? My spouses company just decided to change their comp structure for account managers. It was base + comm, now it’s commission only but nothing changed, OT commission is the same, didn’t get more points, just took away the base pay and said work harder basically. So now they have to worker harder to get $50k they were already making. (Not a decision based on employee performance, they’ve been crushing it. I think the company is just trying to save money they overspent else where)

With product design questions, I struggle to identify user groups. Once I do everything starts flowing and I’m confident. But the initial identification of user groups is something I find challenging. What’s your go-to way of doing this? At the end they said I was OVER qualified and they want me for a different position higher up in the company. I was super excited they then had me go through 5 more rounds, 3/5 people were the same.
