What's your favorite BBQ / rib place in Boston? We've had amazing takeout from The Smoke Shop in the Seaport during Covid lockdown. The ribs are pure heaven and the chicken wings are also amazing. The only complaint is that they no longer have collard greens and they charge you for extra bbq sauce, which seems pretty chintzy when you're dropping $50-70 on food.

Does anyone have any idea of a really, really nice and high-end thing to do with a client in the Chicago western suburbs? Something roughly equivalent to Alinea with wine pairing, but in the western suburbs. It needn't center on food and wine; I just used Alinea as an example as to price point and general impression.

Hello! Does anyone have any book recommendations that fall into the realm of wellness, health, nutrition, fitness ( maybe even spirituality) realm! Basically anything that’s helped them it doesn’t necessarily have to be a self help book I really enjoyed atomic habits and how not to die ( although I don’t agree with everything it’s still a good read that made me@aware of my overall vegetable intake)

Looking for a great non-fiction, relating to travel or world history (not just one moment in time). Could also be about the marketing world or memoirs of a business leader kinda thing.

Fiction wise I also like fantasy, paranormal, and romance. Some fave book series are the Black Gryphon from Mercedes Lackey, Game of Thrones, and From Jamaica Lane series. Similar books?

Fellow Fishes -

How did you all deal with failure in your career. I was ambitious and smart. I was in IBM and considered to be one of the best of my class. I was fired and haven’t really found my way.

I don’t know what to do anymore. 3 years after the fact, I am still at an entry level position. I hate myself for letting things get this bad but I don’t know how to get out of this perpetual cycle. I tried working my ass off but have not been able to shake off that unfortunate past.
