Our billable is 1850, which sounds nice except that patent prosecution is done on fixed fee so you can only bill so many hours per project. wondering if I’m incompetent or in a tough spot— basically one of my supervising attorneys recently left our small firm and their cases got passed down to me (im a 6 mo old atty) they did their best to bring me up to speed but ever since they left there’s some big issue popping up in every case (we cant reach a client, im not aware of a deadline, something minor wasn’t filed). A colleague I worked with who was technically unskilled and not client facing copied my resume bullets word for word. I don’t think he even understands what he has copied, because he has listed (copied) project stakeholders our team interacted with before he joined the engagement. I’m no longer in the engagement, but while I was there, he would leech off of my work and try to somehow make it his own.
