Would MBB firms ever pay for your MBA tuition if you got your MBA prior to joining? Like if you agreed to stay on for X number of years and they pay down your loans. Does that happen?

How do you navigate a job offer that is contingent on the firm calling professional references? I don’t want to tell my current firm I’m leaving for this other firm until it’s official…which means I can’t use my current bosses as references. I have been with this firm since I graduated law school (5+ years), so I don’t have other legal references. I had a pre-law career…but that was so long ago. I’m not sure what to do…any suggestions?

I’m currently working for a small technical consulting start-up firm. I make good money, have great benefits, and they seem very happy with the work I’m doing, so I know I could move up quickly. However, tech consulting is definitely not my dream job. I want to get into data analytics, and I have an offer from a big company to do just that. I’ve only been at my current company for about 8 months, but I don’t ever see myself loving this job. How do I know when it’s time to make a change?

How can I make the interview process less dreadful for myself? I am a strong candidate for the roles I am interviewing for, but the anxiety of case interviews and potentially failing is killing my confidence. Any helpful tips or mindsets to work on?

How do you protect your performance when you are being used as a scapegoat? I have turned to emailing and flagging things to senior team members so I have a trail, but I hate calling out peoples lies / mistakes. Tax question:
Based out of NYC, so I pay NY state income tax AND NYC city tax (for living in the five boroughs). I left in March to live in a state across the country with significantly less income tax. I can change my work location pretty easily, but I need to change my permanent address to save on NYC city tax right? Does not living in the state you work in have consequences/tax penalties?
