My first year was 250 base, 75 cash bonus, 113k stock bonus, and about 55k VEIP for a total of 493k
Rising Star
Hey MD2, when you say 55k VEIP presumably that’s the match only, right? Because you would’ve had to take 30% of your $325k cash comp and put it into the VEIP.
I’m in process of obtaining an offer, and want to make sure I don’t double-count in the comp model
Important when comparing with Big 4 is that you don’t have any debt, you have firm provided health insurance, and you have a lower tax bill. You also don’t have to deal with independence compliance.
I am not a lateral hire. L4 base for consulting (non-Strat) is 250-300 with cash bonus of 25% and stock of 0,24 or 48% (Both adjusted on your and firms perf).
I am currently an L3 and the timeframe is 2-5 years. It is up or out so there are slots. Base is 300-500 and the bonus percentages are higher.
VEIP is the ability for MDs to put up to 30% of their cash comp including bonus into Accenture shares and the firm will match them 50% at the end of the year. So imagine you make 275 and got a 75k bonus for 350k in cash. You could contribute 105k thru the year to buy Accenture shares and at the end of the year Accenture will give you 52.5k more of shares.
Like everything, the up or out also varies. There is an L4 that has been an L4 for 14 years now, he runs a lot of small accounts and is great at that. Rare, but just to show that all rules can be waived.
250-260 base, cash variable, equity performance bonus, executive stock match program (up to 15% of base + bonus on top). All in probably mid 300s and up depending on the year.
And on making MD there is 175k in stock as well.
MD2 a were you lateral hire? What is VEIP?
Also what does year 2 onward look like?
Also, thoughts on progression to level 3 - number of years? Is that a real opp?
I'm in Digital, but came in from industry. 310 bsse, 50K signing bonus, 125K 5 year vesting RSUs, bonuses and VEIP are as others stated.
Md3 is it fair to say you got joining bonus of $50k and $125k that was spread across 5 years? Or was it 125k stocks?
Also, given the level of responsibility and the amount of money that an MD brings in, I personally think they aren’t compensated enough.
Do MDs get their BD code? Heard that you need a business case documented before spending on BS efforts?
Also do MDs have fixed offices or is it Hoteling?
Thanks - do they get BD code for client entertainment and travel?
Sorry one more - what’s year 1 target?
15M+ is a safe avg
Many thanks for all info, I’m in the executive hire process at Accenture, very early days. Currently a partner at TCS based in UK, just want to understand Industry X practice region lead role responsibilities and KPIs?
Also at TCS my compensation is £135K base+ £10K cash allowance + 30% bonus, what is the compensation I should be expecting at Accenture here in the UK?
