Any recommendations for an office desk chair under $250? Looking to complete my wfh setup

What is McK London WFH policy now? Is it still work from home any number of days of the week you want and project allow or have to go in a couple of times a week?

I feel like a handful of companies aren’t making it very clear if they are willing to hire you as remote and/or hybrid. What has been everyone’s experience while applying during these new times? Have you just been applying to whatever job post peaks your interest and then discuss during an interview what you are expecting?

Why is it so hard to find a remote HR position? I have my SHRM-SCP, my MBA and over 10 years of experience being an HR Manager.

So optum US employees get to work from home permanently, but same is not available for india employees !!

I was in the office (pre-c19) on the Friday after thanksgiving so I could get some stuff done while it was empty. A peer Director was also there and asked me for help with something. I helped him a for while, then he said, “this is really helpful, I have to go to an all team meeting for 30 minutes, but could we finish after that?” Me: “an all team meeting today?” Him: “yeah, I always schedule an all team meeting on days like this so people can’t pretend to wfh when they are really on pto.” smh 🤦‍♂️

I have newly joined KGS but still at home location wfh, i was told by a colleague that they received an invite for a New year party for all KGS employees on 20th dec, does anyone receive it? Can I attend it from a different office than the base branch?

Heyy does anyone have any tips for an entry level media planner? I graduated last year and landed a FT offer at an agency. I’ve been working from home for almost a month now and honestly it has its pros and cons. I'm non US citizen and thinking of moving back to EU. My plan is getting remote opportunities across the world and work as a freelancer. My speciality is Data analytics and BI (Qlikview, Tableau). 1) How likely I can get a gig from the US? 2) if a job looking for a remote 2-3 months contract do they care what country I'm in? 3) how can I compete Indian rates as I'm in Europe 60-70$ per hour as a BI consultant is a good rate but I see online rates as low 10$😫?

Does anyone know any companies that offer project coordinator positions in LA, California (state) or remote for undergrads or people without a bachelor’s degree? I’ve been trying to apply to one but they all require a bachelor’s degree and I’m currently an undergrad.

Since summer started, working from home has been a blessing. I’m tanner than ever since I’m not stuck in the office until the sound goes down. And there’s something awesome about taking a conference call sitting out by the pool. It makes me feel way more important than I am.

What is the advice on what feedback to leave for a peer who really sucks at everything y'all have worked together on? It's about the time where everyone on my team requests feedback from each other and I'm nervous for it coming up. Hi, just wondering how the staffing situation has been in strategy consulting in general? My sibling started a job in strategy in Silicon Valley 2 months ago after MBA. She has been on the bench for 2 months and was informed that there has been a shortage of jobs (within the job) and the amount of people on the bench is getting high. She has been under a lot of stress although she had many great networking calls with people. I wanted to help but can't identify what she can improve on.

How does one tell their boss (owner of the company) that you are burnt out? The sheer volume of work is exhausting and I haven’t taken a true vacation as we are a small company so if something urgent comes to my email I feel like I must respond. I was given an additional title and more responsibilities last year as well but only a 3% raise for it.

I never do this but I need some objective advice. My wife is 5mo pregnant and my sister is getting married. Wedding was adjusted because of COVID but she set the date knowing I might not be able to attend as I’d have to fly there. A quick note about what I’ve experienced, in my decade long career, is the real advantage of MBB or FAANG - it gives you a shot at stretch roles that are outside your expertise. Not all the time or even most of the time compared to better candidates with specific experience for the role but gives you this wildcard shot at a vast array of opportunities.

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

I started randomly dry heaving and almost vomiting in the recent weeks several times on different days. Nothing’s changed except a new job that’s been stressful. Anyone have this? I have a vomit reaction when I’m under a lot of stress but it’s usually just a one time thing and it doesn’t happen again. This has gone on for nearly 10x over 3 weeks and I’m getting worried.
