Well Southwest doesn't have upgrades...
Other than that go United if you ever want to go internationally on points/status
^ This person has no clue what they’re talking about 😆
I mean southwest won’t take you internationally, but their points are valuable and rack up fast. Once you get alist preferred you get a 100%multiplier, and if you are able to book bus. select or anytime the points add up even faster
Companion pass is amazing. You can actually use the points for international through their “shopping portal” takes a little digging but you can often find at lower redemption rates than legacy carries (looking at you sky pesos...)
SW has higher yield for domestic redemptions. But no upgrades (honestly super limited even with United) and few international routes.
👋🏼
Good point D1. Even the redemption to gift cards isn’t terrible. I get like 10k points a week or $100 in gift cards. Also I buy the flights with plat Amex to use those points for international travel
BCG1, I think your two posts should be in a different order 😆 gift card redemptions are a poor value though!
Where’d the SW guy/gal go?
