I have good knowledge in Sales, Logistics and Accounts Receivables business process and also good in writing complex SQL queries. So, I'm confused which one to choose.

Currently working as AS400 developer for 5years and planning to switch track.

Do any of the top consulting firms hire into the Engagement Manager level after an M7 (if they had manager experience elsewhere)? I know MBB probably doesn’t but what about other tier 2 firms after that - and asking for US or Canada

I *think* Accenture is doing it right with regards to expenses. Overall, pretty relaxed with the perdiem and other expense policies in comparison it seems. That's actually a huge deal.

The last time I interviewed was for a Specialist position and the questions were the typical “tell me about a time when xyz happened and how did you handle it?” But maybe these questions are to elementary for Director level? Considering a move into Corp Dev & Strategy at the Sr. Analyst level, with a pay cut to current comp. Is it better to target Manager level roles, or leave now?

Does working at a generalist IB shop put you at a significant disadvantage versus an industry specific bank when it comes to exiting to Corp Dev?

I'm an investment banker and in late stages of a couple CorpDev roles of Fortune 200 companies. Both roles report to Head of CorpDev. I would be interested to understand the typical career progression. Assuming Head of CorpDev will stay in position for the next 5-10 years, what is the expectation of upward mobility then? Is it more common to progress through jumping around to different companies?

Does anyone have their PHD or DBA? If so what are you currently doing and was it worth pursuing? I recently obtained my MBA and I’m looking into some programs but trying to see what’s the best fit for me.
