Interviewing for a Director role soon. Wondering how the questions will be? The last time I interviewed was for a Specialist position and the questions were the typical “tell me about a time when xyz happened and how did you handle it?” But maybe these questions are to elementary for Director level? I had a weird exp. with Wipro. I had my interview for AI/ML role which I cleared. They said, Your next round of the interview will be sched. this upcoming sat. I waited for their call but didn't get any response. I tried to contact the concerned HR but no response.
I sent the mails, No reply.
After that, I got the call that job location has changed, it's Bangalore, Pune. Are you interested.?
I said, I am ok with it. He said, Ok.
Call disconnected. It's been 2 weeks, still waiting.

Wondering what people think about my situation. I’ve been offered a role with a company. The job description didn’t mention college degree as a requirement. On my CV I have a section listed as “Education” and under it I have “Business Studies” with the university name and the 3 years that I attended the course (2.5 to be exact). It’s a 4 year degree and under this I have my High School equivalent with the years I attended there. The education wasn’t mentioned in the interviews. Continued below.

Why do recruiters never tell you which agency they want to talk to you about until they get you on the phone? My experience is as follows: BIG4 Audit > FP&A (CPG) > CD analyst (1 year)

I like my role (sourcing, modelling and strategy integration), however I don't see myself working in this industry long term. Without a generalist IB background, are my chances of transitioning over to a different Industry low? If so, is there anything I can learn or do (excluding IB)?

Wondering if anyone can provide rough comp estimates (base + bonus) for corp dev roles at the senior analyst / manager level in a HCOL city). My background is Manager with 6 YoE in B4 across FDD, turnaround / restructuring, and valuation.

Does anyone have their PHD or DBA? If so what are you currently doing and was it worth pursuing? I recently obtained my MBA and I’m looking into some programs but trying to see what’s the best fit for me.

Soon transferring from an advisory role (financing, FDD, consultancy, modeling etc) at a small boutique firm to a TAS role at BDO. Main clients are lower MM and MM PE as well as listed corporates.
