The 4 month sleep regression is real and we went through something similar. Just tried our best to make sure we keep age appropriate wake windows - undertired or overtired babies wake a lot more often. Practice making her sleep in the crib and don’t pick her up immediately even if she fights it. Try to soothe her by singing or patting or whatever that works but keep her in the crib. Try to avoid nursing her to sleep to the extent possible. These are gentle methods that might not work immediately for strong willed babies but I sensed that your baby was born a good sleeper and might just need some guidance to learn how to sleep independently again. For a baby that never slept well by themselves, I probably would go the extra mile with some formal sleep training
The 4 month sleep regression was the worst with my first. You just have to fight through! We had someone tell us to try an earlier bedtime. We moved her to like a 6:15/6:30 bedtime and it helped so much!
It wasn’t easy because that meant she was only awake for like an hour after we picked her up from school, but we honestly just started putting her to bed at 6:30. Played with it a bit - if you could tell she was cranky or school said she hadn’t napped well we did’t quite make 6:30. It honestly made such a difference. Otherwise we were fighting through the witching hour, this way she was sleeping.
We just started right away with the earlier bedtime with my son and he has been a 12 hour sleeper since very early. We were also lucky and didn’t really deal with the 4 month regression with him.
What time does baby go down for night time?

At 9 (we have tried to make it earlier but it’s never worked).
Same - I have a 5 month old. Slept through the night until 3.5 months old and then hit the regression. The only thing that seems to be helping is sleep training which I am in the middle of. It seems to be going surprisingly well, I think in part because he slept through the night before
I think you just need to mentally commit to it - that was the hardest part for me
