Any working moms with babies back to back? If so, how do you go it? Are you working full time or part time? My children will probably be 18 months apart 🥹

Day care for the win! I kept my 15 month old in day care while on mat leave and now I’m back working full time while they’re both in day care. My husband and I staggered our leave which helps

Working full-time mom with twins and no grandparents/family. There's no way around it, 0-2.5 were extremely hard, but we're at 3.5 now and truly enjoying it.

We had one nanny for 45 hrs a week for the first two years and now have two nannies for a total of 47.5 hrs a week and that's been a total game-changer, (also having 2 allows for more flexibility if one can't make it, need an occasional weekend day, no overtime, they're not burnt out, etc., etc.)

Also we did a night nanny for the newborn for his first few weeks of life and got the snoo and those helped a ton in getting him (and us) good sleep. We also lined up family to babysit our oldest every weekend for the first month of our baby’s life so we didn’t have to watch both kids at first, which also helped me recover and feel less pressure.

My kiddos will be 21ish months apart - I have no idea how I’m going to do it, but I WFH without childcare for now.

These numbers are really irrelevant unless you know the agency. It would take a lot less dough to get me into w+k than say, a Translation or similar.

I’ve been with my current company for a little over 5 years now and since the start of the pandemic have been WFH. I absolutely love WFH and have always wanted a position in which I could WFH. There is talk of bringing everyone back to the office full time and that’s not what I would like to happen. I’ve been searching for a new position in which it would be a remote role. My current company also said I am maxed out in term of what they are willing to pay salary wise.

Additional Posts in We're Pregnant!

Did you do the NIPT? I just had my first prenatal appt and they scheduled me for the NIPT at 10 weeks. I’m a little nervous and anxious. Did anyone get it and got a false positive? Do you not recommend it? I wish I could ask family but we’re not telling anyone until the 12 weeks mark.

Pregnant with my second and I have no will to work. I use to be passionate about my work, but now I m forcing myself to complete the bare minimum tasks needed from me. Not taking any proactive assignments.

Hi folks, need your help! Just found out that we’re pregnant (we were not actively trying so kinda surprised 🙈). What brand prenatal vitamins would you recommend? I’m seeing mixed suggestions on Folic vs. Folate - which one is important?

Trigger: rare illness post birth

Just sharing that I was diagnosed with postpartum preeclampsia 3 days after giving birth despite not having risk factors or preeclampsia in my pregnancy. Sharing as I had absolutely no idea about this illness.

Main things to do are check your BP everyday at least the first ten days after you give birth, and go to hospital if it's very high (over 160/110). If you get severe headache or stomach ache then also be vigilant.

Happy to answer any questions!

We were not trying to conceive. And I was drinking alcohol like twice a week.
Now I missed my period and pregnant. I am panicking a lot, not sure if I want a baby right now. Definitely i cant deal with pregnancy constantly knowing how much u drinking could have affected the fetus and if i could ever endure the consequences it would bring upon the baby
Help me understand if my baby will be fine or not.

Received my first prenatal massage at 19 weeks today and the therapist was trained and did a bit of myofascial stretching techniques. Never touched my stomach. Just lower back, arms, legs and feet. I have had cramps in my abdominal area since a few hours after the massage. Not sure if it’s cramps or stretching pains. Drinking a ton of water to flush out toxins, but is this pain normal?

Has anyone been successful in negotiating the schedule on a global pregnancy bill? My provider won't bill by visit and split the global cost into four payments all due by the 28th week. I don't understand how that's legal since it is so off the calendar of services and crosses calendar years (and insurance coverage), where most costs are incurred at the end of pregnancy with increased visit frequency and delivery.

I’m around 21 weeks and have been dealing with a lot of leg, tailbone, back, and general muscle pain. Since I do work long hours Monday- Wednesday (10hr +) I’m trying find a comfortable chair to switch to. Any recommendations? Currently I’m switching every hour or so between my kneeling chair and standing.

How much did you all pay for the 20 week ultrasound out of pocket? My 12 week ultrasound cost me $600 so I am guessing the 20 week one would be even more expensive. I have the high deductible plan from United healthcare.

Okay, thank the stars this “estimated 9.2lb baby” was only 8lbs even. 😅

I’m having a really hard time with my changing body. 13 weeks, I don’t have too many bad side effects of pregnancy or anything so I consider myself lucky (no nausea ever etc) but I’m depressed at work, my skin is completely broken out and showing new broken face capillaries, and I’m not showing a bump yet so I just feel fat and big. I don’t know where this “glow” is but I look in the mirror and literally am grappling with not recognizing myself :( it’s been impossible to find any clothes too.
