What is the notice period if i joined UST as permanent employee. It's been 2 months there

I currently work at a large research institution and am in the process of getting retroactively reclassified to a new title (Long story but my PI is cheap and routinely pays ppl the bare minimum so now the Union is helping me w/ a retro reclass.) Reclass can take 2 - 6 months to process. Meanwhile, I am interviewing for industry job. If I get an industry job, what do I do if my reclass isn’t processed yet? I want the title and the money owed which may be about $15000- 20000.

I have been offered a job at KPMG within cyber security in the uk. Originally it was a 25% hike offer. Now I have received a 8% hike at Deloitte as part of the current performance cycle along with a 5k bonus (great incentives every year) The only thing is KPMG is offering this in a @kpmg regional location where I’m based plus the disadvantage is I need to pay 2500£ for my dependent visa costs which I can save if I continued with Deloitte. Seen Lot of negative comments about KPMG. Any thoughts ?

How do you get experience when no one will hire you? I wouldn’t mind hanging a shingle but I feel it’d be irresponsible to do so with no experience. Unlike all of my classmates, I never landed an internship/externship in law school - had only one interview. I was a PT law student, came from a CS background, and worked in IT throughout law school. I passed the bar exam on my first try (Oct 2020) and have only had a couple interviews out of the hundreds of applications I sent out. Any suggestions?

I worked at LinkedIn and one of the senior leaders was sharing screen during a meeting. The conversation shifted but the leader didn’t stop sharing screen. This person navigated to Yahoo news and clicked on an article filled with women in bikinis. This individual spent a solid 2-3 mins on the article scrolling and stopping to look at each woman. My manager told me that this year bel curve is reintroduced and due certain process change in scatter plot , difference is expected( its mentioned in mail also) but she has assured that everything is fine and promotion is also supported but due to bellcurve, normalization has taken place .rest they have given good feedback..any comments/suggestion?
