Everyone was getting $100/off last year (negating the recent increase), and the $300 travel credit was essentially cash, particularly given it could be used for restaurants and groceries last year. So that cut the fee to $150/year. That’s only $55 more than I’d pay for a CSP, and includes lounge access, a $120 DoorDash credit last year (I used it for no-fee pickup orders), and Lyft Pink.
They automatically credited me $100 for the annual fee renewal without me asking. Just sent me an email and applied it to my account. I was debating downgrading the card, but I’m on the fence now.

You can tell them you’re thinking of canceling because you’re not traveling and see what sort of retention offer they give to keep you. Some cardholders were offered $150-250 to not cancel https://thepointsguy.com/news/tpg-readers-success-retention-bonuses/
I got a letter from them a few days ago confirming the fee increase to $550 next month, and the travel credit would be good for groceries until the end of year. At least it isn’t as bad as the Amex plat folks are getting screwed.

The new AMEX $200 FHR and Hotel Collection credit is easy to use, so I’m OK with the $145 fee increase. I’ll get about $13 in value from the digital entertainment credit too. And the new fee doesn’t take effect for 15 months but the new credits are available immediately
I’m actually see less value in the CSR fee increase (particularly since I already have PriorityPass from my AMEX card), so I may cancel that one.
