Hello RSM coworkers! I am thrilled to be moving to RSM into a Scheduler roll. I just found out yesterday and want to be as prepared as possible in the next steps.
So here are my questions.
How long does the background study take? I'm guessing admin staff have a study that is faster and less complicated than someone in Tax ect.
When training at home what did you need that wasn't supplied by RSM? My home office is well stocked but I want to be as prepared as possible.
Thanks in advance!

Do it! So worth it. I have a $400 Veridesk at work and a $700 Ergotron at home and both are wonderful.
Bought $500 autonomous desk. Love it
Let your manger know and project will pay for it. My sister did same with EY
I don't think that is common in consulting
I bought a Jarvis adjustable height standing desk on amazon 3 years ago and I love it. Totally worth it!
I got a $40 thing from Amazon a few years ago. It sits on the desk and you can configure it to different heights. It really just fits a laptop and a mouse, but if you're only looking for a place to mix up your routine for an hour here or there, it's great. If you're looking for a place to work from for most of the time, I don't know if I'd recommend it.
I bought this years ago. For conference calls, I love it. But if I had to do some serious, extended work in excel or ppt, I don't think I'd last long.
There are other versions that are more of a flat elevated surface where you could fit your laptop, a monitor, notepad, mug, etc. They are heavier and take up more room, so not what I was looking for. But it gets you closer to the full out standing desks, if price or space are concerns.

Bought Tresanti stand up desk from Costco for $200 over black friday. What a steal
Buy a converter- you place it on your regular desk and can adjust the height. I found one for $80 on amazon
