At a different job I had a customer trying to swindle me in telling me that there was a deal in an item that never had a deal or promotion for sale so he made me scan the item 20 times before believing me. Obviously, he finally let it go but I scan it with an inventory scanner that showed me all of the sale price promotions if there were any

I started my new job completely remotely in June and when we go back to the office, it would be a 1.2 hour, 40-mile one way commute.. Would it be entitled of me to ask to come into the office 3x/week since by the time that we return to the office, I’ve already proven that I can work efficiently from home? I feel like it’s a much more sustainable option.

I know this isn’t a marriage therapy bowl, but my husband has a really terrible tendency of saying things like “you’re being really mean” and completely shutting down during a disagreement when i objectively am not being mean, just truthful or vocal about how i feel about something. It’s a really convenient argument for him because it enables him to either be the victim and me the villian, or forces me to concede my stance and not reach a true resolution. Is there any advice for networking into projects when you don’t know many people at the firm yet? I always to help on BD work when I’m on the bench, but it never turns into any billable work. Every time I have talked to a partner/senior manager I was told I don’t have the skill set they’re looking for, but I don’t know how to build up from there. Feeing very lost but I want to improve my approach.
