I was interviewed for a major tech player in the hospitality industry, had 2 interviews which for the first one the recruiter was late, and didn't confirm the interview while I emaild her to make sure I do have an interview. When she attended she said that there was no point of responding my email as we are meeting anyway. Later on I had 2nd interview with the hiring manager. Received a verbal offer/commitment from the engineering team 3 weeks after my interview process. Still sitting and waiting (1.5 weeks) to have the conversation about compensation expectations and finalizing the offer. Is the Google hiring process typically this slow? Hi folks need your suggestion here it would help me i guess . I have been working as manual tester for 3.5 years. I tried learning coding and felt difficult so gave up on that. Right now i feel i should switch to a customer facing role because i think it's a good fit for me and also it seems quite interesting and engaging. Have on offer in hand with a better company for the role customer support specialist L3 . Should I take up this offer ? Or i can stay in Manual Testing my whole life ?

I'm early in my career, managed to save $30K to invest, and want to get my hands dirty with a rental property without too much risk (e.g. no HML/flipping). It sounds like that's a tall order in the NY/CT area given the prices, not to mention whether I'd be able to get a mortgage on anything below $100K, but I figure I'll give it a shot anyway.
