Anyone else feel like something is going around and taking people out one by one? Every shift someone new is coughing, losing their voice, or dragging themselves through the day like they barely made it in. It feels like the whole place is passing the same thing back and forth. If you are sick please stay home because this cycle is getting out of hand. Is it hitting your workplace too or is it just us?

It's definitely going around in our neck of the woods. It's so frustrating because I wish people would stop trying to be heroes and just stay home. But I also know that when I'm sick, I don't want anyone assuming the worst of me and thinking I'm faking it or something.

like

Yes, of course something is going around. It's spreading fast because everyone is coughing into their hands and then touching everything. It's like folks never learned as kids to cough into their elbow. Think I'm lying.... Watch them

I've been fighting off a cold, but I don't think it's anything more serious than that. It's probably just from the temperature being all over lately. We haven't had a real contagion go through the building yet, but I'm sure it will happen. I agree with you that people coming in when they're sick exacerbates the problem. Don't be a hero, stay home!

like

Well, I for sure. Hope you don’t have anything to get you sick, especially right before the holidays.

Yep, there’s some kind of ‘funky virus’ going around at work. I love my colleagues, but please don’t come in and show us how sick you are. You look like cra*, I don’t want it, stay home and rest…please…

Sorry to hear that, but it’s probably best that you don’t work there anymore if they fired you for being sick, especially during that time.

Definitely getting to that horrible part of the year. I think I've been fighting it off for a week but it'll come for me. Had it for a while month in January this year, I just hope it isn't like that again!

like

Oh man, that sucks. I hope you get better.

Wear masks if that’s allowed. My problem is that I’ve had a cough for over 2 months now. Coughs take forever to get better. But yes, everyone is getting sick all the time…

like

Yes! The cough! My dad came home early from work 2½mos. Ago? Not feeling well but had a business trip the next- MY mom and I MANNNN... we had it all like cough fevers and Crap!! And I still have e a cough!!And currently have been fighing to keep the sickness from coming bk that PRODUCES my cough Lol

Yes, tis the season. I got really sick last year, was out for four days! It was definitely more than a cold, but wasn’t flu or covid. Doctor couldn’t even figure it out

I know we say the same thing every year there’s a new thing going around, but I honestly feel it this time

Yep! I was refused a day off when my symptoms hit and told to take a half day after I finished my mandatory prep work, then infected the entire Black Friday lineup. We were on skeleton crew all week after and we’re still dragging.

nah they should’ve sent you home

Yes… though I believe you can’t catch the same cold twice

It definitely doesn’t seem that way I got sick and then just a few weeks later. I was really sick again maybe it was two different things?

like

Totally seeing the same thing—seems like everyone’s catching the same bug on repeat. Really wish people would stay home when they’re sick!

Ok, I’m gonna say this. Schools should open. Now hear me out. My wife is a family doctor, she is working insane hours, she is treating covid patients, and there is a lot of days when she has to stay at the hospital without coming home. My neighbour works in a local grocery store, so he has been at work since the Day 1 of lockdown. So if you need medical help, or want to eat, it’s ok for those people to be at work, but their kids have to stay home? Cont’d >>

3P Policy Limits: $100k
Liability has been accepted
Property Damage: $10k
Current Medical Bills: $65k
MRI findings (lumbar): 4mm
Client has received 3 injections and a surgery rec for laser discectomy

Sent 2 policy limits demands. Adjuster offered $60k both times because they don’t see a “causal relationship” without offering us any articulated supporting facts.

The insured is a Radiologist, he appears to own a home valued over $2M.

Is this policy open? Best approach? Thoughts?

Hey everyone! New interesting (REMOTE) job opportunity! Potential candidates must have background knowledge on disability/accessibility services as it relates to technology. 5+ years of experience in UX/UI required.

I wanted to get your thoughts on the following:
1. Health Insurance for your parents (assuming they are 60+)
2. Term life options for myself (under 30)

I recently went through a medical family emergency and realised how important insurance is. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
