I will have my BCG experienced hire interview in two weeks, what are some last minute thing I can do? Keep casing?
I'm in final rounds w a large tech company (interview already scheduled), but I saw that the company just removed the job posting I'm applying for on their website. Does this mean they already selected a candidate and I'm wasting my time? Or does it mean they have enough candidate selection for the final round to where if I have an offer, I'm less able to negotiate since the company has a lot of back up candidates. First time leaving consulting so all of this is new to me.
I am overwhelmed with the current state of affairs over the last six mos and six weeks. From COVID and making sure my team feels ‘ok’, to the elevation of BLM due to the long overlooked atrocities, my building my destroyed by riots and looters and then boarded up, LGBTQ focusing on the negative history instead of the pride that I so dearly love, Brands pulling out of FB (when hate is so clearly more pervasive than just on FB)...I don’t want anything swept under the rug - I am craving happiness
How do you represent your time consulting on your resume when looking to go back to industry? I've been on the same A&D project for my year+ at ACN. i.e. what do you share about client work?
I induce meaningful learning in my classroom by using concrete situations in the world as a resource to illustrate the learning goals of my lessons.
Did anyone apply for an employment based Green Card in 2020, how long did it take to get your EAD? I’m currently filing an EB2 NIW application and I may have to take an unpaid LOA after my STEM OPT expires and trying to gauge how long it may be for
Got laid off from my first job after graduating college & living home right now with family. Not sure what direction to go. What is your opinion on GARP financial Risk Manager (FRM) certificate? I am considering taking it (as I am FS Risk Consulting), but I am not sure if it really carries benefits. Apparently it is quite a tough study. Is it worth the time or should I invest my time elsewhere? Also do you have learning material you are willing to share :D?
When you explain to your non-accounting friends what the Big 4 is and they say, "oh sounds like the Ivy League for accounting firms" >>>>

Has anyone figured out anything creative for a baby shower in a pandemic? Is it still okay to send out cute invites for a virtual one??
What do y'all think of this Forbes article? I think placing more ownership in the hands of internal SME's is valid, but entirely removing consultants whom have lessons learned through the practice of numerous large transformations would be a mistake https://www.forbes.com/sites/steveandriole/2020/07/29/stand-aside-mckinsey-accenture--cap-gemini--the-case-for-internal-consulting-for-digital-transformation/amp/
Favorite video game(s) when you were a child? I’ll go first: Ratchet and clank deadlock and Pokémon (from ruby red to heart gold)
I’m a first year manager going into my second year. I like my job for the most part but am always wondering what else is out there. I was an auditor for 4 years, now do ASC 740 work. Being that I have almost 6 years in, is it the longer I stay the more I’ll be locked into tax? Recruiters keep sending senior roles that require 3-5 years of experience for a $10kish raise but I wonder if I’m selling myself short but also don’t want to get ‘stuck’. Any advice?
